Green clay is an organic material containing a host of essential natural minerals, iron oxides, and decomposed plant material such as kelp and seaweed. Ingredients -
Neem Leaf Powder Azadirachta indica
Australian Olive Green Clay Kaolin
Fuller's Earth Magnesium aluminum silicate
Aloe Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf
Goats milk powder Goat's Milk Powder

METHOD FOR MAKING FACIAL CLAY MASKS  

Experiment with making your own recipe for mud masks by combining your choice of cosmetic clay. Choose the right clay for your skin type. Some choices for liquids are water or rose water, herbal teas, honey, witch hazel or aloe vera juice. Egg whites firm the skin, and egg yolk moisturizes the skin. Honey is also used for softening and moisturizing skin. Add plain water or floral waters or try wetting agents such as fruit purees. Make a thick paste of the clay. Apply the mask to your skin and let it dry for 20 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry. Repeat weekly.

Step 1: Combine the clay and the floral or distilled water in a bowl and mix well until a good thick paste is formed. Stir well to avoid forming clumps.

Step 2: The result should be a smooth paste; if it's too thick or too runny, add a few drops of water or a little more clay to achieve the desired consistency.

Step 3: Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

Step 4: Spread the mixture over a clean, damp face and neck, avoid the eye area.

Step 5: Using your fingers, apply a thick layer of the paste to clean, dry skin, avoiding the eyes and lips. (For a more even application, use a clean one-inch paintbrush.)

Step 6: Relax for 15 minutes, preferably lying down. Sit back and relax while the mask dries, staying as still as possible so the clay doesn't crack and fall off.

Step 7: Rinse off well with warm water before applying a toner and moisturizer.

Step 8: Pat dry with a fluffy towel and follow with a natural toner and a light moisturizer to soften and nourish skin throughout the day.
