Overview:
Appendicitis is a condition in which your appendix becomes inflamed.
Signs and Symptoms:
The main symptom of appendicitis is pain that typically begins around your navel and then shifts to your lower right abdomen. Other symptoms may include: In addition to pain, you may have one or more of the following appendicitis symptoms: Nausea; fever, loss of appetite accomapnied by Constipation or Diarrhea. Bloating & swelling in the abdomen area.
Causes and Organs Affected:
Cause could due to an infection due to a virus or bacteria which may cause the inflammation or obstruction due to food waste or a hard piece of stool.
Organs affected: Appendix & abdominal cavity.
Treatment:
The standard treatment for appendicitis is surgical removal of the appendix.
