Overview:
Vitiligo is a condition in which the skin loses melanin, the pigment that determines the color of the skin, hair and eyes. Enlarging White Patches appear on the skin.
Signs and Symptoms:
White patches appear on the skin. The hair, eyes lashes, eye brows may lose colour too.
Causes and Organs Affected:
Vitiligo occurs when melanin is destroyed or not produced. The involved patch of skin then becomes white. Exact cause is not known
Risk Factor:
Although there's no cure for vitiligo, treatments exist that may help to stop or slow the process of depigmentation and attempt to return some color to your skin
Treatment:
Topical corticosteroid therapy, UV Therapy, Surgical Therapies
